What is Eating Empowered?

Updated: Aug 20, 2021

Eating Empowered can mean a lot of things to many people, I define it by thinking about have a mindset in which you feel confident about your food choices and how you nourish yourself. It's an approach to food through an abundance mindset and adding of nutrition.

Food is medicine and can provide lots of joy and health benefits. Some questions to ask yourself when considering your food choices is how do I feel? Where did my food come from? How can I live a long healthy and sustainable life?

Studies have been done that show a variety in whole foods and diversity in plants can lead to longevity and healthy lives. Food can also play a role in the reversal of diseases. Whole Food Plant-based meals can provide all the nutrients and fiber one needs to live a thriving and healthy life. Certain diseases are caused by lifestyle choices and your mindset. Becoming physically healthier and fitter often starts with mastering your mindset. In a recent issue of Psychology Now, the whole magazine was dedicated to Healthy Mind, Healthy Body. It's been a very difficult time for us all the last 18 months, how do we move forward?

I believe in taking a collaborative approach to moving forward with support and accountability. I'm currently running a free challenge encouraging you to set a S.M.A.R.T goal. A S.M.A.R.T goal is a

S=Specific

M=Measurable

A=Attainable

R=Relevant

T=Time-Sensitive

Examples can be for a health goal: I will eat 2 new vegetables a week for the next month.

I will drink 60 oz of water a day for the next 2 weeks to improve my hydration.

I will work out or move my body for 30 minutes a day for the next 21 days.

Feel free to create a S.M.A.R.T goal and share with me your goal either in the comments or send me a message. I would love to support you.

Sometimes, these goals can lead to a new habit depending on how your mindset or approach. You can change as long as you set a goal that is attainable and you can always modify and change it. You can grow and thrive in the best way for you. You choose how you approach life and how to nourish yourself and your family.

Speaking of nourishing yourself and your family, join me in an upcoming webinar on Getting Back to School. I'll share 5 tips for smart ways to help you thrive this fall. RSVP here.
